A great chance to experience escorted swims with qualified swim guides in the delightful River Arun. After a safety briefing at The Squire and Horse pub, the swim starts at Greatham Bridge and finishes at Bury village, travelling down part of rural Sussex on a river that is both beautiful and unspoilt. The swimming distance is a fairly challenging 3.5-4km, but is current assisted. River temperatures are a refreshing 15-18 degrees Celsius and a wetsuit is highly recommended. Non-swimming partners are welcome.

The swim is from Greatham Bridge to Bury Village but this may be reversed due to the prevailing tide - please check the trip notes.
This great scenic swim includes all the safety cover, swim guides, transport to the swim start and lunch for all swimmers at the excellent Squire and Horse pub.

Greatham Bridge, River Arun, West Sussex

Bury Village to Arundel: 16, 20, 22 Jun | 20 Jul

This is the longer of the two current assisted swims along the picturesque River Arun, covering a more challenging distance of
4.5-5km. The day begins with a safety briefing at the Black Rabbit pub in Arundel from which swimmers are taken to the start at Houghton Bridge and complete the scenic journey back to the Black Rabbit pub. River temperatures are a refreshing 15-18 degrees Celsius and a wetsuit is highly recommended.
Non-swimming partners are welcome.
